There is growing anxiety among private jet owners, operators and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on the  mode of regulations of  business in the industry.

Business aviation, according to experts , constitute a significant part of commercial aviation in Nigeria, with over 150 aircraft in the fleet of private jet owners and operators. CBN crashes dollar to N360

Banks are to sell dollar at N360 for travel allowances, tuition and medical fees.

A statement from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) yesterday noted that “ $85 million for sale to Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) at the rate of N 357/$1 has been released by the apex bank for onward sale to retail end-users at not more than N360/$1, for invisibles, such as Basic Travel Allowance(BTAs), medicals, school fees, etc.”

The CBN also offered $100 million to authorised FOREX dealers in the interbank wholesale window to meet the requests of genuine wholesale customers.

The bank’s Acting Director in charge of Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor, said: ”The rates in the interbank window for wholesale transactions would still be determined by activities in the interbank market.... more

FRESH insights have emerged as to why Allwell Orji, a 35-year-old medical doctor with the Papa Ajao branch of Mount Sinai Hospital, decided to take his own life by jumping into the lagoon in Lagos last Sunday.

A Kano High Court on Friday adjourned till April 7, the case of the former Kano State Commissioner of Land, Farouk Bibi-Farouk and two others standing trial for land racketeering and breach of trust.
